Thank you! Now we just apply the “golden rule” of Ghastly Affair scenario design, by considering how this situation can go spectacularly wrong for the Player Characters. The obvious answer is that the Bandit in question is one of the PCs. If there’s no Bandit PC, then the Bandit might be a family member (or friend) of a PC. The Bandit could easily be an actual aristocrat himself, and the whole situation come to a head while the PCs are visiting the house for a hunt, or else a shooting party. With so many guns firing, there’s certain to be a stray shot or two…

A female aristocrat loves an adopted foundling, while hating her mother. She’s keeping her own love to herself, while seducing the man for whom her mother pines – rolling again, I find this a bandit who once robbed her (the mother), whom she (the aristocrat) means to betray to the hangman’s noose once she’s done – little does she know that her mother means to murder any perceived rivals for the bandit’s affection, and will not stop at her daughter.

That’s delightfully messed up. Well done.
